Your books will look better, last longer, and even smell better if they are in good condition. There are many simple ways to physically improve books both old and new, and D&M takes pride in helping you care for books. The three main areas for making books more valuable are cleaning, covering, and simple repairing. Sometimes we will suggest commercial products; other times chemicals you probably have around the house. Your books are a mixture of papers and petrochemicals, so always be careful. Keep a few expendable books around to practice on, and feel free to email us for advice. And for truly treasured books, you may want to call in a Conservator or Bookbinder.
